Identity bridges and embraces elements which are themselves changeable and ambivalent in “multicultural Australia”, in a bid to transcend differences – self and other, known and unknown. The Australian composer Liza Lim explores a complex inner landscape embarking on a the journey. The Navigator weaves voices, instruments and electronics, in lines, breath, distortion and sounds from nature, extending the scope of classical Greek drama.
