A writer, stage director and filmmaker, Rodrigo García relentlessly deconstructs social rituals and unveils the underlying anxiety of the individuals taking part in them. In Gólgota picnic, he revisits the Bible and the iconography of terror in an invitation to distrust appearances and to question the theatrical representation – but also creates a space for contemplation.
