Since the closure of the Ballett Frankfurt in 2004, the choreographer William Forsythe has moved continually forward, deepening the bond between virtuosity and the avant-garde, research and the sheer pleasure of the dance. With his own company, which is based in Frankfurt and Dresden, he continues to innovate and astonish us, constantly reappearing where least expected and investigating as always “the established barriers between genres.”
