Cedric Mizero

Originally from Gishoma, in Rwanda's western province, Cedric Mizero has been experimenting with clothes and styles since his early teens. In 2012, he moved to Kigali, where he began interacting with fashion designers and artists. A self-taught artist, he chooses to mix disciplines in his work, experimenting with paint, textures, fabrics and immobile objects. Cedric has a deep connection with nature, culture and people, and his inspiration comes from emotional and sensory experiences. His long-term project Fashion for All is part of an artistic commitment to draw people's attention to the often invisible human beings in rural and impoverished areas of Rwanda. In 2018, Cedric Mizero was selected to participate in the International Fashion Showcase 2019. At the end of the show, Cedric was awarded the special Mention to Curation for his Dreaming My Memory.
