François J. Bonnet

François J. Bonnet is a Franco-Swiss composer and theorist, and director of INA GRM since 2018. His work, often released under the name Kassel Jaeger, has been featured at festivals such as Musica (Strasbourg), Ultima (Oslo), MaerzMusik (Berlin), and the Venice Biennale, as well as venues including the Whitney Museum (New York), Pioneer Works (Brooklyn), SuperDeluxe (Tokyo), and La Maison de la Radio (Paris). His recordings appear on labels like Shelter Press, Editions Mego, Black Truffle, and Drag City. Bonnet has collaborated with Éliane Radigue, Stephen O'Malley, Oren Ambarchi, Jim O'Rourke, and Gisèle Vienne. As a theorist, he is the author of The Music to Come, After Death, The Infra-World, and The Order of Sounds. He produces L’Expérimentale on France Musique and co-edits SPECTRES (Shelter Press) and the GRM series Recollection and Portraits.
