Konrad Sprenger

Konrad Sprenger is the alias of Berlin-based composer, artist, and instrument builder Joerg Hiller. His work merges performance, installation, composition, and research, using acoustic devices of his own making with physically modeled synthesis to craft evolving harmonic and rhythmic structures.
Recent projects include computer-controlled electric guitar performances and, with Philip Sollmann, the Modular Organ System, a large-scale installation combining traditional and custom-built organ pipes.
Hiller’s work has been shown at MoMA PS1, KW Berlin, Hamburger Bahnhof, Berghain, ICA London, Sónar Festival, and INA GRM. As a producer, he has worked with Oren Ambarchi, Ellen Fullman, and Arnold Dreyblatt. In 2001, he founded Choose Records, which publishes works by key contemporary sound artists.
