Lucie Antunes

Lucie Antunes is a French musician, percussionist and composer, trained in classical and contemporary music. After studying at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon, she won several awards, including first prize for percussion at the CRR in Marseille, prizes for virtuosity and excellence at the CRR in Rueil-Malmaison, and was a finalist in the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2007. Her work explores the boundaries between acoustic percussion, electronics and the voice, and takes many forms, ranging from concerts and performances to club appearances and interdisciplinary projects. At the crossroads of experimental, pop and contemporary scenes, she has developed an open-ended practice, enriched by collaborations with musicians, choreographers and visual artists. Her widely acclaimed albums Sergeï (2019) and Carnaval (2023) showcase a unique world that is at once sensory, rhythmic and immersive. Lucie Antunes also composes for other ensembles and choreographers, notably Les Percussions de Strasbourg and Mehdi Kerkouche. She is an associate artist at the Maison des Arts de Créteil and the CENTQUATRE-PARIS, where she has a year-round studio.
