Siko Setyanto

Siko Setyanto is a dancer and choreographer from Jakarta, Indonesia. He began training at the age of nine with Wied Sendjayani at the Sanggar Maniratari in Solo, drawing inspiration from Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage as well as his early training in jazz and ballet. He is the founder of DRKR Kolektif, a network dedicated to contemporary dance, training dancers and supporting young choreographers across Indonesia. In 2020, he co-founded Dansity Dance Company, with the aim of developing a professional contemporary dance company in Jakarta. Siko Setyanto currently works as a dancer and choreographer with Eun-Me Ahn’s company in South Korea and collaborates regularly with Gabber Modus Operandi. He has also taken part in Tianzhuo Chen’s productions TRANCE and PHYSIS, both as a performer and a choreographic collaborator. Finally, he served as a member of the dance committee of the Jakarta Arts Council from 2020 to 2023.
