Tarek Atoui

Tarek Atoui (b. 1980, Beirut) lives and works in Paris. His performances and installations have been shown in major exhibitions including dOCUMENTA 13 (2012) and the 58th Venice Biennale (2019). He has held solo exhibitions at institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney, Mudam Luxembourg, Serralves Museum (Porto), The Contemporary Austin, the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, and the Fridericianum (Kassel). He has also participated in biennials in Istanbul, Gwangju, and Seoul. His work is held in public collections including CNAP (Paris), the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, the Saradar Collection, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. He has performed at venues such as the Walker Art Center, Schirn Kunsthalle, Garage Museum, and the New Museum. In 2022, he received the Suzanne Deal Booth / FLAG Art Foundation Prize.
