A seemingly innocent event – the discovery of a half-dead cockroach hidden away in her domestic employee’s closet – triggers an existential crisis in the life of the play’s protagonist. Director Enrique Diaz takes this long monologue by the Ukrainian-born Brazilian writer, Clarice Lispector, and uses all theatrical devices to embody the philosophical, somewhat mystical, questioning about life.
