Espace urbain x Nature intrinsèque

Man’s relationship with nature has always been a fraught one. In our own creations, we tend to favour angular, symmetric structures built on a ‘human scale’ and whose balanced proportions are ‘pleasing to the eye’. But as the Brazilian artists remind us in this exhibit, our perceptions are based on an awareness of our natural environment. They seek out the connections we might make between the man-made and the natural domains.
