Steven Cohen is a performance and video artist whose work provocatively confronts issues of identity. The Scandal of death was written after Cohen’s brother committed suicide. Cohen defines it as an attempt to “find a dance which would bridge the gap between business’ lack of morals and lamentation rituals”.
