Apart from being a playwright, Nikolaï Kolyada, who is originally from Kazakhstan, heads a company and a private theatre in Ekaterinburg. Staging Hamlet there was a challenge, which he embraced fully by literally tearing the text apart. Covering the stage with found objects, he transforms the play in a fantastic pagan celebration.
