Pierluigi Billone Mani.Long pour ensemble/Kosmoi.Fragmente pour voix et ensemble

[Music]

The music of Pierluigi Billone, a student of Helmut Lachenmann, travels through unusual landscapes alive with energy in a state of suspension or release. Musicians play with both instrument and body (hands, skin and mouth);  the scope is open, extending range, register, timbre and unusual approaches to instruments, mainly percussion, plus the deep sounds of bass clarinet, bassoon and trombone, in an archeological exploration of sound, between levels concealed and apparent, with each vibration transposing experience and enhancing the emotional impact.
