Aristophanes’s The Birds displays all the facets of Greek comedy: puns and gags, the grotesque and the obscene, as well as a powerful satire of corrupted democracy. Directed by Madeleine Louarn and guided by choreographer Bernardo Montet, the professional troupe of mentally challenged actors have worked from dance improvisations to make the philosophical farce resonate with today.
