This September, La Maison des Métallos is delighted to host, in partnership with the Festival d’Automne à Paris, Casa Do Povo.
The Brazilian collective will take over the space for two weeks, offering workshops, performances, and shows.

Afro-Brazilian Percussion Workshops
With Bloco Afro Ilú Obá De Minh
From September 16 to September 20
Open to all women between 10 and 80 years old.

Founded by the percussionists Beth Beli, Girlei Miranda and Adriana Aragão in 2004, the collective Ilú Obá De Min celebrates the cultures of African and Afro-Brazilian origin. In a spirit of sorority, their projects highlight the body of the black woman and the presence of the elders within the group.
In dialogue with the film Mir Zaynen Do by Yael Bartana – of which Ilú Obá De Min is the protagonist and which will be presented on September 13 and 14 at the Maison de Métallos – the collective offers percussion workshops, for women aged 10 to 80.
During the workshops, the members of the group will pass on to you the singularities of Afro-Brazilian rhythms and their relationships with the ritual of Candomblé. The participants will be invited to choose one of the six basic instruments of this musical movement, to work separately and form, as they go along, a coherent ensemble.
At the end of the workshops, a public presentation will take place at the Maison des Métallos on Saturday 27 September.
And to start off well, each participant is invited on Sunday, September 14, 2025 to come to the inaugural concert of the Bloco Afro Ilú Obá De Minh.

malade.vital is a space for collective experimentation aimed at decolonizing and shifting the stage and imagination, while uncovering a dramaturgy rooted in autobiographical writing and the performer’s body-as-document.
In this stage laboratory, everything becomes dramaturgy: gestures, dance, bodies, and lived experiences all serve as raw material.
What is the texture of our era’s ailing bodies? What are the symptoms of illness and vitality? How can we dissect our worlds?
Together, we will search for ancestral technologies that allow us to care for ourselves and create new bodies and new alliances on stage.
The group will explore presence, listening, and performance. Participants will be invited to experience in their own bodies what it means to act.
