Bouchra Khalili: Visual Arts Guest Artist of the 2025 Edition
Bouchra Khalili is the Visual Arts Guest Artist of the Festival d’Automne 2025 Edition.
For more than twenty years, Khalili has been producing challenging works conceived as visual and discursive hypotheses that reflect contemporary issues in art and the world. Her practice seeks to subvert geographies, narratives, and official histories in order to restore depth and accuracy to reality and its protagonists.
For her first major project in Paris since 2018, Bouchra Khalili takes over three theaters—the T2G Théâtre de Gennevilliers, the Odéon Théâtre de l'Europe, and the Théâtre de la Ville – Sarah Bernhardt—with her three-part exhibition Astérismes (Fig. 1 to 3). She brings together recent works and new productions to explore the links between the representation of untold stories, performance, and moving images.
