Caroline Gillet

Caroline Gillet, born in Brussels, has been producing documentary series for France Inter for the past 15 years. Winner of the Prix Italia for Inside Kabul, a podcast based on Afghan testimonies, she also adapted the project into an animated series for France Télévisions and the BBC. She has documented Ukrainian stories in Voice Notes from Ukraine and explored subversive European youth movements in Foule Continentale. Co-creator of the stage documentaries RADIO LIVE, she has published with Actes Sud, directed a film for France 3, and teaches at the University of Louvain.

One's own room inside Kabul is a visual and sound-based work by Caroline Gillet and Kubra Khademi, offering a sensory immersion in an Afghan living room. The audience follows the thoughts of Raha (Sumaia Sediqi), a young woman cut off from the world in the wake of the Taliban takeover.
