Multimedia and interactive technology take center stage in this work in which six musicians, a dancer and a video system attempt to “liberate” spontaneous processes. Dancer-composer Greco wears sensors that remotely adjust the sound’s pitch and dynamics. Kyburz uses technology as a launch pad to break the mold of established models. The opening work, Danse aveugle experiments with traditional materials to bring the performers and audience elsewhere.
