Aurélie Charon

Born in 1985, Aurélie Charon is a producer at France Culture. She hosts the programme "Tous en scène" on Sundays at 8 p.m., and coordinates "L’Expérience", a space dedicated to radio creation and author-driven documentaries. For the past ten years, she has been producing documentary series focused on youth engagement around the world. She has explored the theme of dreaming in contexts marked by a lack of democracy through the series Underground Democracy (2014, France Inter), produced in Tehran, Gaza, Moscow, and Algiers. She has also developed a long-term project on French youth with Une série française (2015, France Inter), Jeunesse 2016 (France Culture), and the film La Bande des Français, directed with Amélie Bonnin for France 3 (2017). She recounts her encounters in the book C’était pas mieux avant, ce sera mieux après (Éditions de l’Iconoclaste, 2019), and regularly contributes to Libération. She has been invited to the Festival d’Automne à Paris to present RADIO LIVE, followed by Radio Live – La relève in 2019 and 2021.
