As part of Carte Blanche Casa do Povo.
Manifestation organisée dans le cadre de la Saison Brésil-France 2025.
Throughout the Carte Blanche of the Festival d’Automne, the Maison des Métallos sets up a boxing ring in the very heart of its hall.
The Brazilian collective Boxe Autônomo offers free classes open to everyone, in dialogue with local initiatives, notably with the association Bien être – Liberté – Solidarité – Omnisport 93 in Bobigny. Trainers and boxers from São Paulo and the Paris region will lead the training sessions and sparrings. Born in a squat that brought together Syrian and Palestinian refugees, and based since 2018 at the Casa do Povo, Boxe Autônomo promotes a vision of sport that is resolutely political, antifascist, and solidaristic. Boxing here is conceived as a social right and a space of struggle against racism, sexism, and all forms of discrimination.

For the past four years, the Festival d'Automne opens its program to artists or collectives, making a gesture both artistic and policy. The Carte Blanche becomes a field of experimentation, conducive to crossing of aesthetics, the circulation of ideas and the public. For two weeks, the Festival invites the Casa do Povo, a unique Brazilian art center, to invest the Maison des Métallos in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. On this occasion, the Festival d'Automne experiments with new forms of conviviality, and inaugurates for the first time a HQ, open to upheavals and collective reinvention.
