In this seasonal opus with its thought-provoking title, à l’ombre d’un vaste détail, hors tempête, Christian Rizzo once again casts us under the spell of an organic dance form. He draws up an onstage cartography made up of choreographic fragments, and details. In the company of long-standing accomplices and newcomers, the choreographer renders the invisible visible.

We need to back to the beginnings, those of the association tentatively founded in 1996 by Christian Rizzo. Defying all expectations, the choreographer has never stopped presenting dance objects, performances, group and solo pieces. Christian Rizzo has well and truly left his mark on contemporary dance. By way of a possible epilogue to his trilogy of the invisible, à l’ombre d’un vaste détail, hors tempête centres upon the principles of temporal ellipses that create a dialogue between fragments and dramaturgical continuity. The performers caught in this in-between – in relation the text by Célia Houdart – form a dancing humanity in search of a certain plenitude, at the crossroads between the tangible nature of the gesture itself and its poetic power. In the company of his accomplices, the dancers on the stage, Christian Rizzo makes Philippe Jaccottet's words his own: "Nothing but space, and in the middle, this eternal murmur".
