Why become a Festival patron ?

  • Support French and international contemporary creation

The commitment of the patrons is vital to the Festival in its aim of providing an ambitious, multi-disciplinary programme.
  • Opening up contemporary creation to the widest possible audiences

With around 250,000 spectators per edition, the Festival continues to reach out to increasingly large and wide audiences.

Every year, 1000 pupils benefit from our cultural and artistic education programmes. This enables tomorrow’s audiences to become acquainted with artistic venues in and around Paris.

  • Strengthen your company’s image in the eyes of your collaborators

Associating your company’s image to the Festival d’Automne à Paris is a way of affirming its commitment to artistic creation and establishes culture as one its CSR assets. It also provides a privileged environment and access to shows and concerts featured in our programme as part of tailor-made events aimed at your teams, clients and collaborators.

     Major patron :

« The Festival brings with it two clear commitments, and which I myself share : cross-cultural exchange and quality. It has given French people the opportunity to discover new cultures. Nowadays, with the advent of video and the Internet, knowledge of all sorts is at our fingertips. Whilst it is true that media coverage gives us a vision of creative work taking place abroad, the Festival d’Automne gives us first-hand experience of it. It plays a fundamental role. » Pierre Bergé (1930-2017)

Henry and Barbara Pillsbury are patrons of the Festival since 1998, with the King’s Fountain’s association.

  • Why did you involve yourselves in the Festival d’Automne à Paris?
We are involved in the Festival because this relationship keeps us in touch with, and close to the heart of the production of new forms – in dance, theatre, music and visual arts.  Priceless! Supporting productions financially is necessary everywhere. With the Festival, our aim is to support one production a year – a production in which the artist has taken a clear risk in making new works. The Festival provides this opportunity. Priceless.

  • What’s your dearest memory at the Festival?
    Impossible to answer!
But, out of the blue: the discovery of American actor and  director Joseph Chaikin.
And the magnificent sculpture installation by Martin Puryear at La Salpêtrière in 1999.
Finally Lia Rodrigues, one of the most daring artists we have ever known.
