In this free adaptation of Frederick Loewe and Alan Jay Lerner’s musical My Fair Lady, based on Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw, Christoph Marthaler celebrates the freeing power of music and the pleasure of singing. Keeping the satirical intent of the original work, Marthaler adds to it his taste for kitsch, his empathy and sense of humor.
